AIREP accreditation.
Buying a property can be a daunting task, buying a property
in a foreign country even more so. Generally in our home country we are
somewhat conversant with how the property industry works, who can intermediate
in a property purchase, and who can offer us legal advice and guide us
through conveyance and acquisition. When we go overseas though we are
completely in the dark, not only do things work differently and different
laws exist but on many occasions even what we understand as “law” or “legal
system” can be something completely alien. It is the case that some countries
regulate their real estate sectors, and in such cases AIREP accreditation
helps the consumer identify those professionals who comply and in addition
who meet further requirements designed by AIREP to protect the consumer.
There are other countries that don't regulate at all, in these cases AIREP
accreditation shows that a professional has been assessed by AIREP and
meets requirements specifically designed to protect the consumer.
AIREP accreditation shows firstly that a professional operates legally
in the country where he/she is based. Further to this it shows that the
professional meets a series of requirements specifically designed to help
protect the consumer, his interests and his money. Lastly AIREP accreditation
shows that a professional has an insurance policy in place which will
cover his mistakes and the damages caused by them should these arise.
